The Goal
The client came to us with a problem: their website listed products but didn’t actually sell much. They wanted more visitors, more sales, and a real e-commerce engine that worked.
What We Found
Before we began, the site had several key issues:
-
- It didn’t show up on Google searches (no SEO or keyword setup).
 - The site was slow and hard to use on phones.
 - There were no clear “Buy” buttons or trust signals.
 - No tracking, no analytics, no ad campaigns.
 - Basically, the site was invisible and unoptimized.

What We Did
1. Fixed the tech and SEO
-
- Repaired all indexing and speed problems.
 - Added product data so Google could understand the catalog.
 - Improved mobile speed from 58 to 94 (on Google’s scale).
 - Wrote keyword-based product descriptions and meta tags so shoppers could actually find the site.

2. Built useful content
-
- Researched what people were searching for in boating and fishing gear.
 - Published practical, helpful guides like “Essential Docking Gear” and “Choosing the Right Garmin Trolling Motor.”
 - Focused every article on solving real customer problems, not just selling.

3. Improved design and shopping experience
-
- Simplified navigation and checkout (from 5 steps to 3).
 - Added customer reviews, product recommendations, and secure payment signs.
 - Made “Add to Cart” buttons clear and consistent on every product.

4. Set up analytics and data tracking
-
- Installed Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity.
 - Linked the store to Google Merchant Center for product visibility.
 - Built a live dashboard to track what was working week by week.

5. Launched paid ads
-
- Created focused ad campaigns for high-margin products.
 - Added retargeting for visitors who didn’t buy on their first visit.
 - Fine-tuned bidding to keep costs under $50 per sale.
